Lambton Centre has been providing quality summer camp programming to the children of Lambton County and the surrounding area since 1961. Each camp has a maximum of 64 campers which enables us to have one staff for every 2.5 campers. This ensures that each camper feels a part of the Lambton Centre community during their stay at camp.

Lambton Centre is dedicated to providing exciting and stimulating programs. In addition to any specialty programming, traditional camp activities will be featured each week. Campers will have a one-night overnight where they cook their supper over an open fire and sleep in tents or under the stars. Some of the programs they will enjoy are:

Crafts

Lambton Centre offers a wide variety of crafts for all ages including natural frames, candle making, friendship bracelets, and bead creatures as well as many other creative crafts using recycled and natural materials.

Drama

The campers will explore different ways of expressing themselves and relating to one another through drama games and role playing. Improv and storytelling will also be used to bring out the campers' creativity.

Nature

Each day, campers will explore the beauty of creation as they learn about the natural world around them. They will see some of the 60 different species of birds that inhabit the area and learn about the rare Carolinian Forest that lines our shore.

Outdoor Recreation

The campers will get the opportunity to try their hand at archery, low ropes course, initiative tasks or orienteering. Our program staff receive special training in these areas to insure the safety of all participants.

Wide Games

This is one of the favourite activities for campers and staff alike. Wide games are full camp games that are played throughout the site. Campers may play Quidditch, they might take on the role of an animal in Survival or they may find themselves involved in a crazy game of Clue.

Swimming

Camper have at least two chances a day to take a dip in our in-ground pool. Qualified lifeguards ensure the safety and enjoyment of each and every swimmer.

Chapel

Every day campers and staff gather to reflect and celebrate together. Chapel is a time when the entire camp comes together to worship God through singing, dancing, storytelling and drama.

Campfire

Every night, the entire camp gathers around the campfire to share songs, stories and skits. It is a perfect way to wrap up a day.

Special Programs

Every week has a programming theme. Some examples are Cruising the Caribbean, Back in Time, and Holidays. These themes are used for special events and evening activities which might include building a time machine, hunting for gold on a desert island, a carnival night or a masquerade.

Our Site

Lambton Centre is located on 105 acres of beautiful lakefront property near Forest, Ontario. We have the natural Lake Huron shoreline, a marsh, a ravine, wilderness bush, and open fields to accommodate all of our programming needs. Meals are served in our Dining Hall, which is built into the Algonquin Bluff overlooking the lake and lower property. Lambton Hall is an all-purpose field house for our indoor sports and large group gatherings. It comes in handy on a rainy day. Campers will enjoy a refreshing swim in our pool. Campers sleep in bunkhouse style cabins with detached washroom facilities and hot showers nearby.
