 Ontario Camping Association
Lambton Centre is proud to be an accredited member of the Ontario Camping Association (OCA), the professional standards organization for the children and youth camping industry, with a membership of close to 300 camps. Membership in the OCA means that Lambton Centre adheres to about 400 separate standards pertaining to almost every aspect of a camp's operation including health and safety, leadership, food service and maintenance, staffing, programming and administration. Membership in the OCA also means that the staff of Lambton Centre have the opportunity to attend high caliber training events specified to summer camp staff.
The United Church of Canada
"Camping is a vital and important ministry in the United Church of Canada. For over 75 years, people of all ages and stages of life have come to United Church camps to live in community, develop leadership skills, experience the outdoors, have fun, and deepen their faith in God. For this ministry to carry on for another 75 years, it is our privilege and our obligation as a church to ensure that all United Church camps continue to offer safe and high quality programming." The United Church of Canada is committed to ensuring the highest standards are followed at their summer camps. Lambton Centre prides itself in meeting all of the standards as set forth by the United Church of Canada.
